File maintained by the Securities Division contains documents used in the development of the Illinois Securities Law of 1953. Included are copies of proposed drafts of the law, printed copies of the bill which passed (House Bill 146), memoranda summarizing the advantages of a new securities law, recommendations submitted by concerned groups for improvement of drafts of the law, and schedules of comment and suggested revisions for tentative drafts of the securities laws of 1949, 1951, and 1953.
